Art Uncork'd with Richard Rodriguez
In this workshop, we will explore the visual style of Local Tone. Local Tone refers to painting in a low light environment, for example, a cloudy day. Our painting will not be a description about the passage of light through light and shadow, but rather a dialogue between tones. We'll start with a basic structure (block-in) and continue defining our shapes as we move toward completion! It will be a simple and fun way to learn about a powerful visual style in painting. We will create an 8" x 10" painting using blue, red, yellow, white, and black.
Cost is $30 per person for Museum members and $35 for non-members. The fee includes all your materials, appetizers, wine, and beer. If you are reserving spots for groups of four or more, please contact the museum as soon as possible to ensure we can fit your entire group. No art experience needed!
Seating is limited, please RSVP to Megan Hesser at firstname.lastname@example.org or
